USPS Postage Increase: Starting July 9, 2023

New Rates 

You'll see new postage rates at the post office this summer! The USPS has proposed its second postage rate increase this year and now that increase has passed through the PRC (Postal Regulatory Commission). Here's a look at what the new rates will be effective July 9th, 2023. 

The First Class Mail classification will increase on average 5.2%

  • Presorted Letters will increase 5.7%
  • Presorted Postcards will increase 1.4%
  • Presorted Flats will increase 7.1%

Marketing Mail classification will increase on average 5.4% 

  • Marketing Letters will increase 0.064% 
  • Marketing Flats will increase 7.1%
  • EDDM mail will increase 4.7%

Periodicals classification will increase on average 8.1%

  • Outside County rates will increase 6.7% 
  • In-County rates will increase 18%
